Remote help, scanning and printing
The consultant may remotely control the kiosk's screen, to help the customer find needed information. They also may remotely scan a barcode or an identity card, and remotely print documents.
Integration with automation
Presence detection and exposition control
Kiosks may have additional sensors that detect the presence of a customer in the room or near the information point. They also may be integrated with a system that controls automation elements.
Staying in touch with the consultant
In larger rooms it's possible to connect additional screens, microphones and cameras. This will allow the customer to stay in touch with the consultant as they move across the room.
Directing the customer to the needed product
Light signals can point the way in the shop and the location of the needed product on a shelf or exposition. A mobile application may make it easier to navigate in the shop and to scan barcodes.
